A lot of these performances and shows may be unpaid as the focus may be more about practising dancing and performing as much as anything. They can then take part in performances and also take part in dance competitions as a dance troupe. Many dance crews operate as training opportunities for their members where they can get together and practise. A lot of dance crews don't have the reputation of the Jabbawockeez though! That will depend on which dance crew you join! If you're invited to join the Jabbawockeez by one of their members you'll probably be doing a lot of paid performances and may even find yourself in a music video or TV show or two. A lot of their choreography is amazing, but does joining a dance troupe actually help your dancing career? There are lots of dance troupes and dance crews popping up in different areas and around the world.
